Commitment to Safety
Health and Construction Safety Program
We are proud of our commitment to safety and the safe work practices we bring to each and every project. Workplace safety is an attitude that has to start at the highest level in any organization in order to be truly effective. Management, Job Superintendants, and company tradesmen have this attitude. Duggan & Duggan maintains a proactive Health and Safety Program that conforms to the best practices of the Construction industry. Duggan & Duggan’s safety record is indicative of this commitment and attitude. Our long standing objective is a Safety Program that reduces the number of accidents, injuries, and illnesses to a minimum, not merely in keeping with, but SURPASSING the best experience of other operations similar to our own. This is based on the premise that on the job injuries and accidents don’t just happen, they are caused. The causes can be identified and controlled. The efficiency of any operation can be measured directly by its ability to control loss. Accidents resulting in personal injury, damage to property and equipment represents needless suffering and waste. The safety of our employees and the public will be the first consideration in the operation of our business.
As a fully licensed, insured, and bonded construction firm, we continually train our people in the latest technologies, materials, and safety standards. Our workforce has successfully completed the OSHA for Construction 10 and 30 Hour Safety Training Courses to ensure the safety of your worksite. In addition, our workforce completes annual training in areas of particular concern in the construction industry, such as Fall Protection, Scaffold safety, Trenches and Excavations, Fork truck / Telehandler certification, Aerial / Scissor Lift certification, Hazard communication, and Electrical safety. Our work crews also hold weekly toolbox talks at each and every job site to identify individual safety hazards of the particular job site, and necessary precautions to be taken.
